How it all began...

Robert Roling has had a deep affection for Kustoms since he was a wee child.  He began building and customizing cars in his teens at his buddy's shops and in his spare time.  He had a kickin' '63 Impala in high school that set him apart from all the other kids and it laid the path for his future.

He had a vision in the mid-1990's of a sweet '50 Chevy that would eventually turn a lot of heads.  He began working on it and over the course of about 5 years, he spent every spare moment he had creating the masterpiece.  That yellow Chevy eventually drew critical acclaim from all of those "in the know" in the true Kustom world.

Robert had always planned on building Kustoms for a living, and he made that a reality when he opened Kustoms Royale in January 2001.  It started in a small shop in his back yard, and in 2003 he partnered with Randy Burris and moved into a much larger shop in southwest Little Rock.

Robert's work, and the work of Kustoms Royale, has been featured in magazines ranging from Rod and Custom to The Rodder's Journal, and his cars have won countless awards at various shows.
